Wolves Dent Chelsea's Top-Four Hopes

Chelsea Succumb to Fourth Defeat in Six

Wolves' Triumph Sees Them Climb to 10th in Premier League

Wolves inflicted a fourth defeat in six matches on Chelsea on Sunday, dealing a blow to the London side's top-four hopes. The Midlands club triumphed 2-1 at Stamford Bridge, thanks to goals from Trincao and Hwang Hee-chan. Kai Havertz's late strike proved to be a mere consolation for Chelsea.

The defeat leaves Chelsea fifth in the Premier League standings, three points behind fourth-placed Arsenal. Wolves, meanwhile, climbed to 10th with their victory.

Bruno Lage's side took the lead in the first half when Trincao fired home from close range after a neat interchange with Raul Jimenez. Chelsea responded well and equalized before half-time through Havertz.

However, Wolves regained the lead early in the second half when Hwang capitalized on a defensive error from Andreas Christensen to slot home. Chelsea pushed for an equalizer but could not find a way through a resolute Wolves defense.

The victory is a major boost for Wolves, who have now won three of their last four matches. Lage will be hoping that his side can continue their good form and push for a top-half finish in the Premier League.
