Butler, Pennsylvania (WEB) 6:04 PM PDT July 13, 2024 - A shooting at Donald Trump's rally in Butler, Pennsylvania is being investigated as an attempted assassination. Two videos posted on social media that were verified by The New York Times appeared to show the person suspected of shooting at former President Trump. Republican presidential candidate and former US President Donald Trump was injured Saturday in an assassination attempt when a gunman opened fire at his rally.
Two people have been killed in the shooting, including the person who fired shots in Trump's direction. Trump was struck in the head by a bullet and is currently being treated at a local hospital. His condition is reported to be stable, however, his injuries are life-threatening.
The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made at this time. The FBI is assisting with the investigation.
